EU: Barley exports in July-October 14% below last year’s

Taxud statistics of October 25 puts EU’s July-October barley exports at 2.5 mln tonnes, 14% below last year, H. M. Gauger GmbH reported earlier in November.

The No. 1 destination was Saudi Arabia with 1.03 mln tonnes, mainly supplied by Romania and Germany.

France shipped 959 thousand tonnes of barley, of which 922 thousand tonnes to China.

In October, world feed barley markets rose by around USD15 per tonne, following the general price trend. But prices in the China-block went up by US30 per tonne.
